Born in 1957. Works and lives in Bandung.
He finished his study in the Faculty of Arts and Design – Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Bandung in 1981. He learned traditional Balinese arts from Made Tubuh and the arts of offering (sacrifice) to Wayan Pugeg (1995).
He has carried out his solo and group exhibition since 1980 including his solo exhibition in Moscow (1997). In his twenty-years of involving and working in arts, Krisna has listed 15 solo exhibitions The exhibitions – regional and international – were carried out, among others, in Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, Perth, Bangladesh, Fukuoka and Berlin. His video-arts “My Ancestors are from Sangiran Man” has been exhibited in “The First Fukuoka Arty Trienalle 1999”, and this work has been a collection of the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum. His recent work of arts are exhibited in the exhibition called “Awas, Recent Arts from Indonesia” organized by Cemeti Foundation Yogyakarta, and “Diobok-obok: Continuity and Contingencies”, organized by Singapore Art Museum – Singapore. The exhibition is traveling throughout Australia, Japan and Europe (1999 – 2001). In 2000, he has made himself prepared for “The Third Kwang Ju Bienalle – 2000,” and “The 7th Havana Bienalle” in November 2000.
Beginning 1986 he has been working with the gamelan composer and choreographers as his collaborative activities. Those collaboration have been performed in Bandung, Solo, , and Moscow. In 1999 he published his book entitled “Video Public”.
